OTHER FAQS:
-
While barrel saunas are popular for their appearance and lower upfront cost, their design presents several functional limitations that impact long-term performance and durability.
Many barrel saunas lack proper insulation, making it difficult to control heat efficiently and manage moisture over time. As a result, they require more energy to heat and are more susceptible to heat loss, condensation, and premature material degradation.
The curved interior restricts bench height, preventing bathers from sitting at optimal heat levels. Thermal stratification occurs when hot and cold air fail to mix properly, causing hot air to gather at the top while cold air remains at the bottom, resulting in cold feet.
In a cubical sauna, higher benches allow for consistent, enveloping heat, something barrel designs may struggle to achieve.
Ventilation is also often compromised in barrel saunas, which can lead to uneven heat distribution and reduced air quality during use.
For these reasons, we focus on cabin-style saunas built using proven Finnish design principles that prioritize performance, comfort and longevity.

SHIPPING AND install FEES
FOUNDATION preparation
ELECTRICAL HOOKUP OR CHIMNEY inspection
OPTIONAL ADD-ONS, SUCH AS WI-FI CONTROLS
-
For electric heaters, electrical hookup services are available for an additional fee, provided by our in-house licensed electrician.
We do not install chimneys directly. To ensure safety, code compliance, and proper function, all chimney installations must be performed or inspected by a WETT-certified professional.
Our team provides full guidance on placement, clearances, and required materials to ensure your sauna stove is correctly installed, and we can coordinate with your WETT-certified installer as needed.

Yes! A key element of a true Finnish sauna is löyly - the steam created when water is poured over the hot stones. All of our sauna heaters, whether provided by us or sourced, are designed to safely allow water on the stones, making this an integral part of the authentic sauna experience.
